Carrascal Library

The Carrascal library is located in a town called Carrascal in the Philippines and was established by its former mayor Joseph O. Hotchkiss during his term in the years 1952 - 1964. With a varied collection of books and materials, it was created to serve the people in the township of Carrascal. Over the years, the utilization of the library diminished and eventually led to its abandonment. In the year 2001, the descendants of former mayor Joseph O. Hotchkiss made a commitment to restore the old building and reinstate its valuable service to the community. With their concerted efforts, together with local government, the library is on its way to reestablishment. By pooling nonprofit resources, sponsors, and volunteers, the library may perform its objective once again.

The purpose of the library is to provide books and other materials for research and entertainment. Its goal is to foster lifelong learning and knowledge through self-education and to enrich the cultural opportunities available for the people of Carrascal.
