The people of Carrascal are at a disadvantage. Why are they at a disadvantage? There is no library in this town. These people possess a burning curiosity to learn, yet they are frustrated with the current lack of books to feed their appetite for knowledge. This is why they need our help now. Without a library, one of the basic foundations to learning, they are already behind the curve. Books are our window into the past so that we can learn from history so as not to make the same mistakes again. Books are our window into the future. They dare us to imagine new ways of applying the knowledge which we derive from them. Something as simple as a library that we here in the U.S. have taken for granted can change the life of many. There is still hope for these people who are yearning to learn more so they can do more and give back to the community they call home.You can help with a donation of some kind no matter how small every little bit helps. 100 % of your financial contribution will help fund the following: * library renovation * purchase of books * shipping costs to send books Please contact us @ carrascal-library@adorablepages.com if you would like to make a donation. We can find a good home for your gently used books at the Carrascal library. Please donate educational books such as dictionaries, encyclopedias and other research materials.
